What comes to mind thinking of surfing? The ocean, of course. And then the myth of the perfect wave, the obsession of every surfer. But what is behind this life of traveling from one end of the world to the other? We are told by Leonardo Fioravanti, who at just 19 years is already the strongest athlete that Italy has ever had in this sport.
“The Italian Chronicles” is a web series of four episodes in which the Italian champion tells about himself: not only the preparation and training, but also his life out of the water with his family and close friends, on a journey through Australia and Europe.
How a surfer trains: in the third episode Leonardo Fioravanti tells his day, between physical preparation and session at sea. From the morning streaching for the muscular awakening to the “exercises for the dry land”, so the coach Richard Marsh, alias “Dog” called these. In between a lot, a lot of surfing. The episode is called “Training”.
